Japanese Serendix, which aims to mass produce 3D printed residential buildings, has produced bungalows. The company uses Chinese made printers to output components and then assembles them together using heavy-duty machinery. A survey will be conducted on construction accuracy and durability, and starting from late August, 6 buildings will be sold in limited quantities, with each building priced at 5.5 million yen (approximately 280000 yuan).

According to the Nikkei Chinese website, the 3D printed residential "serendix50 (rattan pot type)" is a 1LDK (one bedroom, two living rooms, and one kitchen) with a total construction area of 50 square meters, and is designed to accommodate two people. Like ordinary residential buildings, it is equipped with a kitchen and bathroom. Designed by the KGRI Ring Design&Digital Manufacturing Creation Center at Keio University. Adopting reinforced concrete structure, in accordance with the Japanese Building Standards Law. Residential buildings built using 3D printers have the characteristics of short construction time and low price.

According to Serendix, the construction time for the barnacle type is about 44 hours. The company launched the 3D printed sphere residential "serendix10 (spherical)" in 2022. In May, the first house was built in Sakura City, Nagano Prefecture. The spherical building area is relatively small, only 10 square meters. Due to the lack of access to water pipes, it is envisioned as a space for enjoying interests and hobbies.
